A little while back I covered a track by a uk artist called Neko Neko. The track was a remix of Time by Pink Floyd from Dark side of the moon, with promise that the rest of the album was going to come out soon. Well I’ve been sleeping and the album, titled Orange side of the moon, has been released and is doing the rounds on the net. I have to say it’s grown on me enough to post it up here, which I usually don’t do.

Worth checking out if you like hip hop/trip hop stuff with a tip towards old school and 90′s hip hop and people like DJ shadow or Four tet.

Ipad running a monome emulator and press cafe.

This video shows the ChipPad app for the iPad. ChipPad is an app which works like a sample player/manipulator. You get a row of 8 samples which can be reversed, qued up and played. Quite basic for now but could be improved and come in handy in a live situation.

Some clever chap called Robert Jarvis has come up with a way to create a 5$ DIY drum pad for Ableton Live/Max for Live.

The thing works by taking the keystrokes sent out from a small silicon calculator and converts them into midi signals.
